Science

We had a visit from a scientist yesterday!  Her name was Brainy Beatrice and she taught us all about "Air, Water and Soil".  

This was a "special guest"!  IT'S A WORM!  We got to hold it if we wanted to.  Some were very squiggly.  Some tried to escape!

We learned about the water cycle.  We are making it rain!

We learned a lot about soil.  Watch the video and see what soil is made up of...

Gingerbread decorating!

Getting ready for the fun....  THANK YOU everyone for donating your Halloween treats for our gingerbread decorating activity!  Look at all the goodies we will be using for our gingerbread scenes! Our room smells SO SWEET and YUMMY!

Everyone was so creative!  What good ideas we came up with!  Can you see the "lake" in this scene?

It was really tricky getting our gingerbread people and little bears to stand up without falling down!  There was lots of thinking and problem solving going on in our classroom!

We can't wait to take these home so we can EAT THEM!!

HO! HO! HO!

We had great fun making our Santa Claus!  First we made the chains.  We made chains that were 3, 4, 5 and 6 links long for his beard!  Then we cut out all the other parts, added  a moustache, and that's it!  They all have their own "personalities"! 

On December first  me and my friend made a boling ball made of blocks.  It has little pins too.
