Our Self Portraits

We used oil pastels to make our self portraits.

First we practiced drawing "big heads" to fill our papers.  Then we coloured in our "heads" and used a paper towel to smudge the pastels into the paper.

Then we added the details...our eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows, freckles! 

Then we carefully filled in the background.

And here are the finished portraits!  Aren't they beautiful!
